This is a story of how easy it is to be HACKED…
Bill is a nice middle-aged man who noticed some hard drive errors and signs of his system slowing down, and data was not being processed properly. It all started at the end of February, first part of March, Bill had just finished up a very busy and intensive project he had been processing & programming, for the previous 2 weeks called:
Think IT Won’t Happen To You? version 3.0
Dave and I were doing some last-minute editing and compiling of the last draft of the book before we send it to the publisher. My system came crashing down, there was a major overload, coughing, sputtering, overheating and not knowing I had been hacked by a very malicious virus known as the (Pnéw) and a melt-down was eminent…
Pnéw also, know as Pneumonia is one of the most difficult (HACKS) dis-orders to overcome especially for older systems!
So, I immediately contacted the professionals at IHC Managed Personal Care or Managed PC for short, they went to work checking out my hard drive (the Brain Center) and the raising temperature was causing over heating because the cooling fans had locked up, the motherboard (BP) pressure was going up, and the circuitry (circulation) system required testing as well…
So, the professionals went to work getting my system back on track, first there was testing of all the components (vital signs) of the system showed there should be setup immediately a system isolation, to make sure this virus did not spread and infect other PC’s or their components!
This was and is the first time in over 10 years of being online, that I’ve Been HACKED so badly that it required a complete shut down, and Re-boot so, in 2-3 weeks hopefuly everything should be completely restored!
We are back online NOW!! and I must say that having my own Managed PC Care is the only way to go, and the main lesson I learned was waiting to see if things are going to get better, is the wrong approach and you should always take care of the problems (Be Proactive) now… or as soon as possible, to prevent long-term system failure and overall a prolonged recovery time!
