Hackers, Crackers and Jackers - Think It Won't Happen To You?

Whether you understand the following or not, the predominant outcome from any one of the following will choke-off and slow down the performance of your computer:

    > Keyloggers
    > Root Kit Infections
    > Malicious Spyware
    > Partial Hacking of Resources
    > Security Holes in Brand Name Software Like Adobe or Windows
    > Registry Problems from Outdated Software

Any of the latter occurrences will cause your computer to slow down when performing simple tasks like:

    > Computer Hangs-Up When Trying to Download Email Messages
    > Having A Lot Of Software On Your Computer
    > Having Too Many Windows Open At One Time
    > Creating Or Using A Lot Of Multimedia Files

Security technology software is a must, however; and unfortunately, most off-the-shelf security technology that you purchase or that comes with your computer is not efficient in defending against today's cybercriminal.

Even today's Enterprise grade or professional grade software is not a 100% efficient. The key to good computer security besides actively maintaining patches, running additional scanning programs in conjunction with running Enterprise security software is your behavior on the Internet.

Knowing that no one, whom you do business with, will ever request your password; will help you avoid "phishing" schemes. This is not the same as you typing in the address yourself and then entering your user name and password to enter the site. What I am talking about is receiving an email from any of your business institutions, banks, or credit unions requesting personal information such as your password. No institution will ask for your password by email or over the phone. If you have, any doubts call your institution and ask.
